Your scuba regulator regulates the air flow from your cylinder (hence the name). When you select “a regulator” at your PADI Dive Center, you start by choosing the first and second stage together, then select the other components for a total of five.

Your regulator consists of five components:

The first stage is the “hub” of your regulator and supplies air to the components.
