Underwater communication is important. Hand signals are the primary way you communicate with other divers. Begin by getting your buddy’s(ies’) attention. You can rap on your cylinder with a clip, slate edge, finger ring or other hard object. You can also get simple “cylinder clangers” made especially for making attention-getting sound.
